Flying with Oasis (Hong Kong) from Gatwick. No complaints at all. Booked limo at airport to hotel, Harbour Plaza in Kowloon. Very impressed. Despite being tired after our 11 hour flight, decided best to try and acclimatize to local time and get our bearings. It’s Hong Kong National Day so everywhere is mobbed but local Thai restaurant – excellently named Sweet Basil Thai – kindly fit us in. Delicious. Our hotel has an excellent view over the Victoria Harbour and is having a do at the exclusive rooftop pool deck to view the National Day Fireworks display. You can’t argue with that as a welcome to Hong Kong.
